Crooked Lake in
Emmet County is the third lake along the Inland Water Route from the Lake Huron
entrance. Crooked Lake has a surface area of 2,300 acres
and a maximum depth of 60 feet. Crooked Lake has some great fishing for
Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Rock Bass, Bluegill and Black Crappie.
You will also find Brown Bullhead, Yellow Perch, Brown Trout and Carp. Crooked
Lake is a very popular lake for boaters and water skiers. It is one of the
first
lakes on the Inland Water Route that warms up in the spring and it stays very
warm all summer. Crooked Lake has two public boat launches and several public
swimming areas.
